Spitfire String Quintet

The Spitfire String Quintet is a world class collection full of character and detail covering all essential articulations. With its unique authentic and intimate sound, the Spitfire String Quintet adds/offers a new dimension/level/expression of strings samples to the Nord Sample Library. The String Quintet contains 2 Violins, Viola, Cello and Bass and features Soft, Extra Soft (Flautando), Marcato, Staccato and Pizzicato playing techniques.

The Spitfire String Quintet consists of a Double Bass, Cello, Viola, 2 Violins and showcases a variety of unique playing techniques. In addition to the normal long articulation, the quintet also offers Soft and Extra Soft variations. The Extra Soft is played using a beautiful "Flautando" technique, as well as two types of Tremolo. Short techniques include Pizzicato, Staccato and Spiccato along with a very expressive and versatile Marcato (Marcato Short). The collection also includes useful sound combinations like the Fast articulation, which combines a very distinct attack with long sustain - ideal for blending fast runs with longer notes or chords.
